Written in Go and supporting both STDIO and HTTP transports, it fits natively into Claude Desktop workflows as well as server-side agent pipelines. Teams that live in Teamwork.com can use this integration to automate status updates, generate summaries, and perform bulk project operations directly from their AI assistant.
Prerequisites
- Go 1.21 or higher installed on your system
- An active Teamwork.com account with at least one project
- A Teamwork.com API bearer token (found under Profile > API Keys in Teamwork)
- An MCP-compatible client such as Claude Desktop
Clone the repository
Download the Teamwork MCP server source code.

Compile the STDIO transport binary that Claude Desktop will launch as a subprocess.
go build -o teamwork-mcp ./cmd/mcp-stdioSet your bearer token
Export your Teamwork API token as an environment variable. The server reads TW_MCP_BEARER_TOKEN at startup.
