Authentication fails with 401 Unauthorized when connecting to ServiceNow.
Double-check SERVICENOW_INSTANCE_URL (no trailing slash), SERVICENOW_USERNAME, and SERVICENOW_PASSWORD in the env block. For OAuth auth set SERVICENOW_AUTH_TYPE=oauth and also provide SERVICENOW_CLIENT_ID, SERVICENOW_CLIENT_SECRET, and SERVICENOW_TOKEN_URL.
The MCP server fails to start with 'module not found' or import errors.
Ensure you are using the Python binary from inside the virtual environment. The command path in the config must point to `.venv/bin/python` inside the cloned repo, not the system Python.
Only some ServiceNow tools are available — incident tools load but catalog tools do not.
Set the MCP_TOOL_PACKAGE environment variable to control which tools load. The default is 'full'. If you set a restricted package, switch it back to 'full' to restore all tool categories.
