Prerequisites
- macOS with OmniFocus installed and actively running
- Automation permission granted in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Automation for your MCP client
- Homebrew installed for the recommended Rust binary installation
- An MCP client such as Claude Desktop or Cursor
Install the Rust binary via Homebrew
The Homebrew tap installs the production-recommended Rust implementation. For Python or TypeScript alternatives, clone the repository and follow the per-language instructions in its subdirectories.
