Install notion-cli

Install the binary using the Go toolchain. This fetches and builds the latest version from the repository.

Authenticate with Notion

For interactive use, run the auth login command to complete the OAuth flow in your browser. For headless/CI use, set the NOTION_ACCESS_TOKEN environment variable instead.

Troubleshooting Notion CLI

Authentication fails with 'unauthorized' even though the token looks correct

Ensure the Notion integration has been connected to the specific pages or databases you're trying to access. Go to each Notion page, click Share, and add your integration. Tokens are scoped to pages the integration has been explicitly granted access to.

'notion-cli: command not found' after go install

Make sure your Go bin directory is on your PATH. Add 'export PATH=$PATH:$(go env GOPATH)/bin' to your shell profile and restart your terminal.
